Whale’s Eye (1:1)

In a world that rewards predictability and penalises deviation, those who don’t fit find themselves increasingly isolated. Education, ambition, confidence, independent thought — these are mechanisms of growth, and growth is what pushes a person beyond the frames that social structures provide. The ant is accepted. It does just fine and has plenty of space, sits comfortably in every frame. But the whale fits only with his one eye. He knows the externally imposed feeling of being too much. Otherness irritates the uniform. Uniform pushes. But the outgrown form cannot be squeezed. Some will pretend that his one eye is him as a whole. Poor whale, don’t cry. Poor whale, don’t grow more.

But what does the whale see with the other eye? The view whales have must be stunning, so far above the highest frame.
